So this game seems pretty cool and I wanna play it.
I just don't know if I need to play all fallout games to understand what's going on and stuff.
I don't know what I should do.

Tips?

You don't really need to know the story in fallout NV/3.

Don't drink the water there  :cookieMonster:

When someone requests help from you randomly in a middle of a desert about a girl friend being trapped in a mountain don't listen to them.
At least in the end if you find dead skeletons where he said his girl friend was then just run.

Really? And why is that?

Oh..eh.. okay. :s

If you're going to play Fallout 2, be prepared for a Super Mutant with Power Armor.

Fallout story:

Booms happened then people died or was in a vault for like two minutes

then you come out to beat the stuff out of forgetwads

Ignore riot, sneak behind the guy and stab him in the back undetected. Problem solved.

what's a vault

okay let me give you a run down

Fallout 3: You are 19 years old and your dad escapes from the vault you're in (a vault is a shelter from nuclear bombs), so you set out to look for him.

New Vegas: You are a courier who is shot in the head by a man in a suit while carrying a package to the New Vegas Strip, and you set out to find him.

Both worthwhile games, Fallout 1 + 2 i haven't played

Really? And why is that?
It's less "LOOK I'M ROLEPLAYING A DEAD GUY" and more "BANG BANG HAHA THAT GUY EXPLODED"

Also, its about post-apocalyptic AMERICA, so american propaganda everywhere, but no fat people

that makes sense...

For some reason these games have a style that makes it seem what the future would look like from a 1950's point of view.

Thats what they were aiming for, I believe.

Fallout 3 and NV are both pretty good, its hard to recommend one over the other.

Each game has its own story which is explained in the first hour or 15 minutes. I suggest buying the Fallout pack on steam for about 12 dollars which is Enclave, Fallout 1 and two and Brotherhood. Then if you have money left over get three or New Vegas.
