Author Topic: Fender Stratocaster Get!  (Read 1007 times)

Today, I acquired an orange Fender Stratocaster guitar and a small Fender Amp. The guitar has a maple neck and an orange sparkly paint job. It looks something like this

What are some songs I should play on it, somewhat easy ones because I don't want to be sliding my stinging callussed fingers all over the strings a thousand times per second?

Is it a legit one, or a ripoff?

i dont get all these fancy guitar names

Nice, I looked into Stratocasters myself but I'm probably going with a Telecaster reissue. Small hands mang

First question;

Is it a Fender or a Squire?

Second question;

Do you actually play guitar?

I play, hence the calluses on my fingers. It's a Ffender.

Legit.

I don't get all of the Abercrombies and Hollisters and Aeropostales.

Noice. I have a starcaster.
Iron man - Black Sabbath
Legend of Zelda Theme
Midnas Theme
Knights of Cydonia - Muse
Hunter of the Heart - Dio

Some fun songs to learn off the top of my head.

Mm, alright, good, I'm sick of people getting brand name guitars thinking that if they spend 900 dollars on it, it'll make them good, lol.

But anywho, Knights of Cydonia is as super fun song to play, so +1 to you J Master.

This is the first electric guitar I have owned, but not the first I have played. I'm really an acoustic guy, but the guitar is in beautiful condition and my neighbor had to get rid of it and the amp, and it was cheap, so why not?

Ew. Its all sparkly pretty fru fru.

Acoustic is a ton of fun, I started on Electric and then moved over to Acoustic, which was a mistake :(

If you played enough, they wouldn't be painful anymore, so that you would be able to play anything.

Also, best guitar ever, is a Gibson SG Gothic, matte black. jizzinthepants

You really need only 3 basic chords to play anything on acoustic, it sounds great and is very easy. Some bros and I brought in our guitars on the last day of school last year. We played random songs, moved into some Zelda, Duelling Banjos (I took the hillbilly banjo part, it was hell) and some other country music.  My guitar, a Gibson Hummingbird Artist, sounded the best in my opinion, look into one if you ever are getting a new acoustic.

I would love to get a new acoustic, but the problem is my fingers are so tight and not used to playing on such a wide neck that it's super uncomfortable for me to play it, thus I started drumming and singing more, lolol.
