I found this the other day, only $700.  It's worth at least $1,000 maybe, with those specs.  Reviews say that it can run things like Starcraft II on Ultra and others.

No price range?

I can throw a $5,000 one at you  :cookieMonster:

I dont want laptops over $1,500.

EDIT: Nvm just under 1,000 dollars.

How many cores does it have, and how much RAM can it have for upgrade?

It has two physical cores which are both hyper-threaded, so it's a pseudo-quad core almost.

It has two memory slots, both of which I think have 2GB of RAM in it when you buy it.  It can support up to 8GB, though.

Thanks, I might get it.

And can you upgrade the CPU? If you could could you give me a list of CPUs that would fit in the Laptop.

It is near impossible to upgrade the CPU of a laptop.

To upgrade the CPU of a desktop is easy, all you have to do is find the right socket and make sure your motherboard supports it.  Take the old one out, put the new one in, you're done.

For a laptop, though, in most cases it's usually built in specifically for the laptop for any given design reason.

In other words, its impossible and if it was possible, you wouldn't want to risk the laptop's design.

This.

Only get a laptop if your parents are divorced and you switch houses or something, otherwise get a desktop.

The desktop version of Niven's can be built for around 900, almost half of its 1600 price tag.

The same can easily go for the one Nickelob suggested.

If you don't have to buy a laptop for gaming, then don't.
