Modern Warfare 3? I believe they're both supposed to take place in the present day.

Its because most people enjoy how THEY play CoD, and dont want it to change. What I was trying to say here, is that all of the new multiplayer maps could be ported to CoD4 and the game would be exactly the same. People are just paying for new maps and new plots.
Lol you care about graphics. Graphics are a vital aspect to video games. Or maybe we should all go play Nintendo 64 again.

The multiplayer gameplay footage shown from people playing Battlefield 3 at E3 today was very interesting.

And the setting, and the similar gameplay styles, and the release dates, which is important if you don't have the budget to buy two games at once, and many of the basic themes of the games, and the fact that the developers of both games have openly declared war on each others' games, and a lot of other stuff....

On a more related note, I will most likely get BF3, but I will wait for some reviews first, in case it isn't as good as its predecessors.

Everytime a battlefiled and CoD game come out they always seem to copy each other's storyline.

BF3 and MW3 take place during current times in modern cities

BFBC2 and MW2 had the same type of story, just different weapon of mass destruction

BFBC2:Veitnam and CoDBlackops both take place around the veitnam war.

Now though both do change plots and stuff they both start out the same.

Both started out as a WW2 shooter, then they evolved to modern times.

Both are fun, both have great features, both have a great franchise, both have a great history.

True, i do love destroying cover and blowing stuff up while my freinds ride in my humvee as we speed down the map searching for good vantage points or just a way to dominate the enemy.
