Actually it has to have started in v0001.

Not really. Badspot had a different version numbering system before v7. Before that I think there was 3.0, then 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 then v7. Something like that.

v0001 -> v0002 -> 1.00 -> 1.01 -> 1.02 -> 1.03 -> 7 -> 8 -> obvious ones being skipped -> 19
