Independents just don't know politics, or are hipsters who want to be "different." I put different in quotes because EVERYONE is different now, so everyone is the same.

You are asinine and handicapped at the same time.

Good job in backing up your statement.

oh sorry. you are a non voter.
thought we were having a real political discussion.

everything is so simple and safe when you are looking at the world from the outside lol.
When did I say I was a non voter? I'm a conservative republican. It's people who just complain about the government that are pointless.
Also, being simple and safe is hardly what people should ever do; when will things change if you're watching from a distance?

Ohai everyone i just- *sees politics* im outta here.

independents dont "sign up" and reg themselves to a specific party.
because every new candidate is still different. and the needs of the party cant possibly always = your needs as the constituent.

its dangerous to be a sheep and glue yourself to a party.

So then what do you propose to do?

your profile.

the only debates you have here are the "things are just the way they are" settled view. its a lazy view that no side actually wants.
but for some reason you do lol

There wasn't anything to back up. It was a statement. A true statement.

Do I even have to mention the founding fathers and their many warnings to stay away from the party system? Or perhaps not.

Or maybe the fact that you just called a large group of voters "unknowledgeable" about a subject? I'll tell you what, I bet between you and I, I know a hell of a lot more about this stuff than you do.

So then what do you propose to do?

a responsible voter studies the issues of every candidate, without any concern WHAT party they are in.
if you end up voting for your conservative republican you like, then cool. but you may not want to next time based on where he stands on issues.

I JUST said that if you sit there and do nothing, then nothing will change. This means that I'd WANT to do something, and that I DON'T want to watch things remain poor.

But then you're voting for a party, which you declared is bad.

I'm running for my local mayor in 2015. I'll be running as an independent.

there is a difference between voting for a guy JUST because hes in a party, vs voting for a guy who happens to be in a party.

I'll vote if I'm not dead of heart disease by then.

So anyway. Politics?

How about that Weiner's wiener.

I'll vote if I'm not dead of heart disease by then.
