What did you do in the first place to get a virus like this?

Guess what most virii come from.

If it's not showing an OS choice, it probably deleted the BOOT.INI file on your C: drive. It usually looks something like this:
Code: [Select]
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
Put in your OS disk and try following the repair option (possibly with a guide from online).

If that doesn't work, you can only do this method is you have a spare computer lying about (not everyone does.)
If you have antivirus software on your other computer, take the hard drive out of that computer and put it in your other one, and RUN A VIRUS SCAN IN SAFE MODE. Remove any threats found, put it back in the one computer, and do the following above.

If you manage to get on to your OS, try to run "msconfig" or "msconfig.exe" and then disable the application.

I would just format my drive and slap on a clean install of windows.

You could always do a ctrl + alt + delete, open up msconfig or regedit using the Command Prompt, or
format your drive and slap on a clean install of windows.

I got the loving blue screen of death On my laptop,thing has been broken for a week,wait I just heard the mailman probaly the disc my dad ordered to fix it :D also I couldn't even loving go to safemode.

it looks like you will have to give it some soup. antibiotics won't work as they don't work on viruses. we will have to let your computer fight it out itself.

you think pouring chicken noodle soup on his hard drive won't help, well then you didn't go to South Connecticut Institute of Technology.

neither did you

Take it to a local IT Support center and get it fixed. The one near my dads place does that.
