there isnt even a login account? how do you acquire anything?
Bitcoins you generate are stored in a wallet file on your machine. When you choose to cash out you use your special key to link it up with the distributed network. The conversion of bitcoins to traditional currency is handled through trading sites like Mt. Gox.

.ink file? how do you even open the miners?
idk. I'd help you set it up but I'm at work right now and have no access to anything. You're probably the only person here besides me on BL who has the resources to get a significant amount of bitcoins.

Otis, teach me how to bitcoin mine without frying my gpu :c
Air conditioner + fan + nonstuffty GPU.

I'm getting steady 180 Mhash/s with Ati Radeon HD 5770. And I am pool mining with http://mining.bitcoin.cz/ are they any good or should I find someone else?

The easiest way to get them now is by converting real money to bitcoins.
The other way is by having your computer solve mathematical problems that help the network grow.

If people are looking for a place to spend their coins head over to the hidden wiki on the TOR network.

What do I do now?

What do I do now?
Wait

Wait some more.

And maybe a little more.

Just keep waiting.....

yay I think my dad and I are going to get some advanced rigs going :D

Don't understand a thing about it. So I'm going to test it.

so instead of a fun mining minigame it's actually a gpu-temperature-rising program that gives you blocks or whatever based on how good the gpu is

Tom

I think the mathematical problems you are doing is actually confirming other people's transactions. As far is I know, the system central server, all the clients process each other's transactions.

My head hurts.

Wait so, you let the program fry your processor, and inturn, you get coins to exchange for drugs?

Well forget this, I don't want to waste my whole evening to find a miner program which works on Windows without using some compiler to make it work. ._.
