Author Topic: TF2 Spray not working  (Read 5448 times)

I just made spray to use in TF2, and I tried importing it ingame (it is a .tga file). What happens: a message pops up saying "This file's TGA format is not supported. Supported TGA formats are 24-bit RGB and 32-bit RGBA."
How do I fix this?

Use the highest quality.
Use the import feature in TF2 and locate the tga file yourself. it should work.
Works for me at least, I use Photoshop CS5.1

Can't make .vtf files with Paint.NET.

Can't make .vtf files with Paint.NET.
Save as .png
Import into VTFEdit
Receive free profit.

When you're saving it as a targa file, select 32-bit, and don't compress. It works fine for me.

Sure you can.
Sir, that is a dumb idea. You need a .vmt to accompany the .vtf, along with the fact that paint.net can't save the same compression type that .vtf uses.

Or you could just make a new vmt file with wordpad/copy pasta a spray vmt and replace some stuff.
And it's called a plugin that if you would bother to click the image would take you right to it.

Gosh it's not that hard to think. :l

Or use photoshop cs5.1 and do what i said.

Thank you, it worked. However, I've tried importing it into Gmod, and that works, but pressing g plays the spray sound but doesn't spray anything.
