I've heard of Epiphone. Our school has them and they're pretty decent.

Imo, epiphone is the highest quality cheaper-end guitar you can get.

I don't like Dean as much, but I've only messed around with one or two Dean guitars.  They use some pretty crazy body shapes. :P

Guitars are made out of wood which comes from trees. The same principle should apply to make the guitar work better.
