Firefox 4 is horrible. [In my opinion]

My father accidentally updated his firefox, and my grandad, and from what i've experienced, some things really shouldn't change.

Either Mozilla is trying to make their browser all "simple", buttonless and shiny as every other company is trying to do with their products, or something horrible wrong was decided by the community.

I mean, why move the "home"  button to the horizontal middle of the screen, having it near the center made sense.

I found it very easy to use and I found it better.

I'm used to the classic one, since Firefox 4 will be getting most of the upgrades now, i'll have to go try to make it look like Firefox 3.6.

Chrome is also suffering from "make everything white and shiny and hide most of the buttons" syndrome.
I like old-styled browsers.

You can always re-customize the layout. Right click on main toolbar -> Customize

You can make FF4 look pretty much like FF3, you just have to mess around with the settings.

That's why I use it. I hate buttons. The only button I need is the clear history button  

That and IE and Firefox make me want to punch a hole in my monitor.

Click orange button > setting > check "menu bar"
Right click empty area (eg tab bar) > customize
Now stop ranting.

I think Opera released their finished one with that look earlier than Fx4 was released. I'm not sure about pre-release version release history though.

I think you're right, I'm pretty sure Opera looked like that far before FF4's alpha builds started looking like that. Before, it looked like Firefox 3 but with a lot of new aero effects (basically the same as if you have the Menu bar enabled and tabs on top disabled).
