Author Topic: Holy forget this song has a deep meaning  (Read 4065 times)

Everyone of Flobots songs are politically biased songs.

'I can take apart a controller, but almost put it back together'

Does this mean they can take someone out of power, but the replacment will be just as corrupt?

Tom

You are thinking to deeply about it. This song is obviously that riding your bike without handle bars will lead to you causing another holocaust.
SO DON'T DO IT! :cookieMonster:

I don't think so, I think it is about human ingenuity and how it will eventually end us, and throughout the song if you notice him and his friend's achievements are getting more and more advanced.

EDIT: Holy stuff I did not realize the sign at :20 seconds.

Look at that sign.

Is it the path to corruption, or peace?

It didn't play "Handlebars" it played "Tierra Firme" by some European dude.
Oh wait, that was the advertisement. Right.

It's a bit sad that I've heard this song a lot before, and yet i had no idea about this whole meaning, and now when i watch the video, even though it might be dramatized, it still makes me tear up a little. :(

Personal view:At the end you see, The two friends fighting each other,One leading the protestors,The other is the president. Basically i think the meaning behind the song is saying, we are born powerful, it's how we use that power that defines us..E.G Riddler was corrupt, but very convincing and a good speaker he had power and look what he did with it...At the very end of the song, He sees and realizes hes fighting his friend, and as there all dying, I'm guessing hes realized what hes done.

/agree

i think it means dont let the power get to your head.

Man. I've listened to this song too many times in the past few days.

Hes also talking about taking away peace and replacing it with war. You see all the doves? The dove gets taken out by the hawk, and the dove on the wall that gets knocked down.

Oh damn, good eye, I didn't notice that.

Also, when the dove is taken out the jet flys over. Also when the wire conects to the security camera. His friend also watched him become power hunger and he leads the resistence against him. Then his friend is killed and the man realizes that he has become a monster.
