edit: to elaborate on this .. minecraft characters are 2 blocks tall. xbox avatars would also have to be 2 blocks tall. I'm sorry .. that just wouldn't look right.

meh if they did it right i think itd be lovey, or they could just make like a sprite or whatever for each peice of clothing ex pick a type of pants, it goes on your minecraft guy same for hair, mouths, noses ect

this is definitely my main concern

if minecraft comes out as a full game then we shouldn't have to worry TOO much..

if it ends up being an XBLA game, then we'd have some issues here and there, probably slow updates but not too slow..

if it comes out in the indie section (which it won't because it'll cost way more than any indie game) then we're all screwed.

updates are always free. DLC is never free due to their policies. probably what you meant though.

however their update policies are equally stupid. not sure what it's like for full / XBLA games, but indie games have to go through a review for every update, and if they fail that they have to wait a week before they can try to update again. I assume the other 2 types (full game/XBLA) also have to be reviewed, but I'm not sure if the week rule applies to them as well
