Last night, I woke up from a loud noise. I turned on the light and heard noise from the kitchen. I went inside and when I did, I saw my cat covered with blood. Then I saw our knife rack. one of them was loose, apparently... and now shes gone... forever.

I once left the gun cabinet unlocked and the cat took a pistol out of it, loaded it, and shot herself.

1. How does a knife magically fall out like that, onto your cat?
2. If you heard two noises (which I assume the first is the knife landing, the second is a cat scream or yelp), then how would it be covered in blood so quickly?  Anybody who would hear their own cat yelp who is sad when they die would run down, no doubt.
