Ive always wanted to move to Switzerland because its beautiful :(

But I still love America. I dont get why people argue about dumb crap like this. Get lives.
Switzerland is great, and Germany is close. I used to live in Switzerland. I was born a Texan, raised a Swissman, and now I'm in America again :c

The forget Nymethus? The Indians never loving formed their own "country" there never was a country during that time. they lived in America but they were just a large group of nomadic tribes that even warred with each other. There's a lot to Native American culture that's really cool as well. Even so, wasn't the removal of the Indians started by the Europeans?

I do like kings, castles, and vikings however.

See that sentence was so close to being neutral until you put the :c

Yeah, what the hell man. You got to live in Europe but you're a born American so you should be happy.

If what this guy says will happen actually does, were're on the way to Homefront being real. (give or take one north korean leader)

Nymethus, how would you respond if I said "Sweden is a nation of ancient pagans that worship the god-king of Lutfisk?" Because that's the problem I'm having with reading your posts. If you've got questions about America you should ask them.

I'll try and explain the bit about the Indians. Yep, we absolutely murdered them all and stole their land, and it's also among the largest genocides in world history. This past is something we struggle with today. Some Native American communities are still impoverished, you'd think you were visiting a third world nation if you visited certain communities, but no, you're actually right in the heartland of the United States. We're also losing some of the culture as time goes on because it's not being preserved very well. There isn't really a good answer on what to do though. We don't hide this (although some people try to ignore it. This stuff is taught right in our history books, starting in elementary school. Good luck getting that kind of transparency out of other countries.

I also found your comment that your news is magically unbiased laughable. I've read newspapers from America, Germany, England, Russia, Iran, and Egypt. They all have totally different viewpoints of the world. I'm sure the Swedish press is proud of their national identity just like everyone else in the world, and there is nothing wrong with that. For example, I'm sure a Swedish newspaper would probably claim lutfisk tastes great, when it's actually one of the most vile foods known to man.

i get sick just thinking about lutefisk.
i dont understand how it came about.

its not like cheese where people must have been thinking way back "its disgusting what happened to this milk but lets try it" and it just catches on.
but lutefisk is a different kind of wtf. like its not even meat anymore.

like oops we dumped lye on our food. lets not just throw it away, lets let it soak in water for a week and let all the protein get all gelatinous.
its like a joke that one day someone made his friend taste it.

some sick mother forgeters in this world.
i would eat a baby over this crap.

Babies are rather fatty.

i get sick just thinking about lutefisk.
Headcheese is pretty bad too. I generally would try any food at least once, I'm going to have to skip on lutfisk though. Damn, lutfisk is in my phone dictionary now :(

Why all this talk about lutfisk but nothing about surströmming?

I love how Wedge allways finds the perfect response to these types of American stereotypical threads.

I don't know, I had kimchi before which is fermented vegetables and it was really good, fermented fish might be good. Lye is like what they make soap out of, why would you eat that?

Although now I see in a 1999 essay some guy nicknamed "the man who would eat anything" refused to eat it, so clearly I must have it so I can one up him. And then I can use it to skip out on something like blowfish, because I'd rather not die.

Thread is now about food.
