I've had this 1.5 TB HDD since 2008, I've only used about 250 GB since then. It's very slow to boot up, it takes 10 seconds for the HDD to turn on.

Mine's always started up slow, I think it might be because it was one of the first consumer 1.5 TB HDD's out.
