Well, I was just talking about the Modern Warfare series plot, and I found it a little dumb IMO.

So, I decided to create a topic on games that HAVE a good story/plot behind it, one that could happen, or is very keen on detail and has an awe inspiring backstory.

The games I think that have a good backstory are [keep in mind I like FPS shooters]:

Brink

Homefront

Portal Series

Medal of Honor [Admit it, the multiplayer was horrible, but the story was well done.]

Fallout 3

Half-Life Series
Grand Theft Auto Series

especially the guild wars series, its lore is very well written and overall really awesome
awesome sequel is in the works and they released two very good books alongside

It was okay, I like the conspiracy ideas, but the city randomly becoming overly surveillanced kinda...the plot dropped there...

The Mother/Earthbound series has the best. and Zelda games too, I guess.

oh, and Persona. Persona has the very very best.

Deus Ex.
System Shock.
Half-Life.
Most Star Wars games.
Portal, if you like humor.
Shin Megami Tensei games in general. Not just Persona.

I liked Mafia II, but it felt too much like a movie.
