Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic, Call of Duty 1-3, Spore and all the LoZ games.

Portal 2 had undiscussably undoubtably the best end of any game in gaming history.
It made like 90% of the players cry.

Half life 2 ep 2 was also pretty impacting, and the part where Eli dies made me rage and want to take a shotgun minigun barrel boom and kill all combine.

Nice ninja edit for second part. Anyway, why would the players cry at the end of Portal 2? You want to cry, play Halo: Reach to the end.

Legend of Legaia!

It was an under rated RPG for the PS1 that got over shadowed by Final Fantasy 7. In my opinion it is a lot better than Final Fantasy 7.

This game was the best PS1 game I ever owned.

Spoiler:
I don't care for some replacable soldier, keep in mind in Portal 2 you are the only human in a radius from you till 500 miles out. And combines are rampant above. And you have to say goodbye after finally building up a relationship with the only human-like beings near you. And you go to space. And it has a suprise at the end involving opera and turrets.

Alan Wake. I can't believe no one said this.

Aperture Science started in like the 1960s with Cave Johnson, a shower curtain salesmen, buying seep salt caverns to begin a company centralizing around a device he conceptualized. Using his vast fortune, he engined tests with his scientists and partner, Caroline. As the years went on, he was still testing the device for perfection instead of releasing it, and funds dwindled. He became ill when he came in contact with his Conversion Gel and died soon after, prompting the scientists to put Caroline into the main computers, now named GLaDOS and with her memories subdued.

And that's just a short summery of the beforehand. You need to pay attention, dude.
