Solar is one of the future rulers destined to take control after his father, a relative to both Death and Satan. "Underworlders" as I call them are able to keep their body pressure at a level in which they won't blow up or something. They also have the capability of withstanding the heat the underworld takes in. Hormone mumbo jumbo happened so Solar has flaming hair that is controllable so it won't set stuff on fire, which was from some course of special training. Water basically will make the flare go away but it can be easily relit. Solar really has brown hair.
