Author Topic: Why is U.S.A. fighting in Afghanistan.  (Read 7443 times)

Holy loving stuff you people have no clue.

There has been war in Afghanistan as long as it has existed, because everyone wants to conquer it, for it is in a very tactical position. Every single Emporium in history with an army large/advanced enough to do the job has tried to do it. Some of the Afghans got tired of it some time ago and started defending themselves. Of course those afghans were very religious, because every single human on earth was very religious at that time.(Nowadays that group has evolved into Taliban, a group of Islam extremists and some awesome soldiers, that also calls itself the fighters of the holy war(/something similar)).

The last Emporium that wanted to conquer Afghanistan was the USSR, that was there for ten years before they finally decided that they could not win the Taliban forces. After the Soviets retreated, USA decided they could show how awesome they are by finishing the job. When the Americans had been in Afghanistan far longer than any other country, the Taliban decided to show them with whom they're loving with by throwing a couple of planes at American citizens. Until now the USA has still not managed to "win" the war because the Taliban is recruiting new members all the time.

Propably lots of spelling errors and I'm also only taking this from memory so some things are maybe wrong. Lol big rant.
Rant falls apart when you realize that we're not technically at war, we're not fighting a war of conquest, and that we're fighting with insurgents and guerrillas, not the Afghan military.

Next monday that says FOR DE OYUL HURRR! im gonna tie you to a radiator and make you watch me forget your mom. We are there for a security measure loving deal with it you liberals.

I didn't mean that the Americans wanted to conquer Afghanistan. I meant that a lot of guys wanted to do that before. USA just showed up to prove that they are better than the Soviets by clearing out the Taliban, but now they are in much deeper stuff and still fighting them in Afghanistan, and the Taliban is doing terrorist acts to lower the morale of USA / raise the morale of themselves. I also do know that they also make terrorist acts against Afghan civilians, not only American civilians.

I was kinda sleepy when I wrote that, sorry.

-The Invasion of Aghanistan was direct retaliation for the 2001 September 11 attacks.
-We're still there to maintain stability (lol).
-Isolationalisim is a dead concept and "minding your own buisness" only really works in your neighborhood, the world is not your neighborhood. What happens "over there" effects us "over here".

Oil.
Feeding the war industry.
Showing your power.
Trying to establish a functioning democratic government in a country full of arabs, lol.

There are many reasons.

Oil.Nope.
Feeding the war industry. No such thing as a war industry, but yeah a lot of rich people profit from it.
Showing your power. That's the reason the whole thing started, yeah.
Trying to establish a functioning democratic government in a country full of arabs, lol.Propably only for press.

There are many reasons.

If there is no war industry, how do the soldiers get weapons, equipment and vehicles?

Its funded by the government. So there is kinda a war industry. If you want to call it that.

Yes.
Obama is making his clarification on withdrawel of troops from Afghanistan this week.

There is a war industry, if you think there isn't then you're stoopid.

Service Rifle - Colt
Planes - Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics, etc.
Armored Vehicles - General Dynamics, BAE Systems.
Infantry Armor - The IOTV, Interceptor, OTV, and MTV were all produced via defense contractors.

There is little made by the government and even things made by the government are usually produced by companies.

Believe it or not, It all started after World War I. French and Britain had control of that part of the Middle East and split it up into sections (Iraq Afganastan Yada Yada Yada) and grouped the people into the new countries. Unbeknownst to the new found leaders, They grouped tribes that Hated and I mean Hated each other. Then more Modern times started, There was fighting between Iraq (Funded by the USSR) and the United States. At this point Osama was on Our side, helping rid the Ruskys from his homeland. When the war ended, he was Furious that we didn't just hightail it outta thar and decided to shut down World Trade (See where this is going?). Then at this point he Esploded the World Trade Center of the United States. George W. Bush was the Furious one now. Even though his father (George Bush) Warned him not to get into that mess (For the record, George Bush Sr. also worked for the CIA) but Stupid Junior ignored him. He claimed that there were Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq (Doesn't every country have some?). After finding out that there wasn't any, He quickly decided that there were terrorists in the country (If someone broke into your house and shot down your family in search of weapons that you likely didn't have, Wouldn't you want to get back?). Because of this, They were on the search for Osama Bin Laden. They gunned him down and tossed his body into an ocean and left. In this process Barack Obama received a Noble Peace Prize for removing troops from Iraq, Only, He removed them from Iraq and inserted them in Afghanistan.

I don't know why people are always like, "WE SHOULDA NEVER GONE TO IRAQ, THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE BOMBS!"

They have a serious problem with gangs and terrorism, and the government is basically nonexistent.
Yea, See, That's Iraq's problem, Not ours. At least, It shouldn't have been.

if saddam had wmds how the forget is that not our problem

dorkdotan is stupid and doesn't know what he's talking about.

1. The cause of 9/11 was Saudi Arabia accepting the US for help in the Gulf War and not Al-Qaeda.
2. George Bush didn't claim there was WMDs in Iraq, you don't just hop up and decide a country has WMDs, there was intelligence supporting it (obviously it wasn't too valid but that's besides the point.)
3. Iraq having WMDs was more our problem.
4. The US stayed in Iraq for stability and support of the pro-west government that was installed there.
5. Osama Bin Laden and the War in Iraq are unrelated, Osama Bin Laden was in Pakistan and Pakistan is not even near Iraq.

dorkdotdan is either a poor troll or a stupid kid.

Since when the forget do you still linger the forums. What happened to your breadcatavatar or whatever it was.

I try not to post here often but I'm away from my usual PC so I decided to share my .2 cents on semi-intelluctal subjects.

RIP bread cat
