Lulzsec on Wikipedia.org

Has anyone heard about these guys?  They are legit hackers, not like Anonymous.  They said they hacked 200,000 Brink accounts, SonyPictures.com, PBS, CIA.gov, Nintendo, Minecraft, EVE Online, WoW, Pron(dot)com, League of Legends, The Escapist, InfraGuard, The U.S. Senate, and various other small specific companies.

They posted tens of thousands of possible accounts to Facebook and Amazon.

While many of these are simply DDoS attacks, they seem to have the power to do whatever they want.  They took down Sony "with a simple SQL injection."

They like Nintendo; they only hacked them to expose a gap in security to the company.  They also like Sega, they went as far as "promising to destroy Sega Hackers."  They sent the British Health Care an e-mail pointing out a flaw in their security.

They don't appear to be money-motivated at all.  They saw a security company using an ad-campaign, offering $10,000 to the hackers who were able to change the image of their website.  This is what Lulzsec did:

They seem to do it for both political justice and for laughs.  They have an "untraceable phone line" where people may call in and request websites to be taken down.

They should stop loving with Sony.

I think they went too far when they released the personal information and revealed the identities of government whitehats.

That stuff can get people killed yo

Wow...
I want that as an avatar  :cookieMonster:

No seriously can someone cut that out of the picture and give it to me?

That stuff can get people killed yo

FOR THE LULZ, DURRRRRRRRRRRRRR

:cookieMonster:

They also hacked the UK's food and drug administration only to leave a sticky note on their presidents computer that says 'we like you, so fix your stuff so we can't get to this point again'

They also hacked the CIA's mainframe for public relations.

I loving love these guys, they're incredible, I don't support what they do, I just love the fact that they're doing it.
They should stop loving with Sony.

I disagree, I think they should forget with them some more.

They should stop loving with Sony.
I think they did it because Sony doesn't take internet security seriously, such as storing the usernames and passwords and credit card information in plain text.

They did it because the Obama administration said that hacking may now be considered attacks on the government, or terrorist attacks, or whatever they said.

Tearing down the government facade, one lulz at a time.

It's only a matter of time before they start launching Stuxnet attacks.

I don't think they would go THAT far.

I think Lulzsec is loving awesome by the way.

I think it might have been because Sony was banning hackers. Idk.

I thought it was because Sony disallowed Linux on the PS3 because of piracy?
