You are still powerless, these hackers aren't doing anything but making you even more powerless

I'm not so sure I entirely believe it, but what they are saying does make sense.

I personally don't see how just because they are having fun with it makes it better in any way.
It's still just breaching people's privacy for no real reason beyond "having a laugh".

I don't see where this is any more acceptable than physically breaking into someones house, stealing documents and then drawing things on their photographs.

I just noticed that Anti Virus companys (ex. Symantec, Kaspersky Labs, Avast!, Softwin) are doing nothing whatsoever about Lulzsec. They're just bystanders.

If I left a normal life forsaken and decided all I would learn to do was hack and forget people over, I could probably make a considerable difference in some years with the help of others.
