Author Topic: What the forget is a bitcoin  (Read 11764 times)

I don't get this either. My mind has been going over and over. So let me get this straight...

1. Let your computer run the processes
2. Make BitCoins out of nowhere by doing nothing
3. Use them as real money

What is the point? Why do shops and services accept the cash if they could just generate it themselves? I DON'T loving UNDERSTAND it seems impossible.
Thats what I said.

Get many computers in house
Use Bitcoin 24/7
???
Profit!

Thats what I said.

Ha ha yeah, I just re-read the OP and I am almost entirely in the same mind frame as you.

I'm pooling resources with monocle, because even if this is a terrilovingbad idea it's still free money.

It can be converted to USD...

Either way mining is like suicidal for the GPU.
Not if your computer has stuff cooling.

you should just play the bitcoin markets.

Bitcoin is the equivalent to a bag of cash, the value varies by day to day so you can't always tell what you can get.  It's like a virtual stock market.  The system is also P2P meaning it's non-centralized and very hard to track down it's users.  That's why 'questionable' sites use it.

Edit: The reason this thing works is because it works the same way USD or any other currency works, it prints money and people get it.  And inflammation will probably be unbearable in a couple years so enjoy it while you can.
