Author Topic: Crazy ass stuff going down in my house.  (Read 2845 times)

So if you all can remember a while back I posted threads of how I heard noises in my house that shouldn't happen without someone being there (Floor creaking, dishes moving ect). if you don't remember, here's the story. I wake up one morning and I look around to see if anyone is home. Noises from downstairs. So I go into the bathroom and go take a piss. While taking this piss I hear the floor just outside of the bathroom creak. So I think to myself "Oh, I guess my sister is home". So after my piss I check her room to say hi. Nothing. I go into my room and look outside. No cars. So then as I was posting the thread, I heard the dishes downstairs clattering, as though being moved. But no one except me was home. So I kind of freaked out. NOW I went downstairs today in order to look for screws for a lock. Walking downstairs itself was a bit different. Just seemed weird. as I walk down the hallway to the garage I feel a sudden urge to turn on the lights. So I flip them on and feel somewhat safer. I go into the garage and still have an unsettling feeling. after I grab what I needed I turn out the light and went upstairs. stuffs scary as hell.

call the ghostbusters

Say hi to the ghost

Obviously people are stealing your dishes.
Duh.

Oh sorry, that was me.

On a more serious note, I know exactly what you're talking about. I was at a friend's house for a sleepover one time and we were bored out of our loving minds because the power went out (storming like all hell outside) and we couldn't play any video games or anything like that, so we decided to play a board game. When his parents got home with take-out (because they couldn't cook anything due to power outage), we went into the kitchen to have dinner. After dinner, we went back upstairs to his room to finish our board game. When we got back up there, all the board game pieces were scattered all over his room and the board was upside down. He has no pets, nor siblings, and the only people in the house were all sitting at the dinner table downstairs.

I don't really remember what we did after that but I think the power came on not too much later, so we kind of just dismissed it as something like, "Maybe one of us knocked it on the floor when we stood up to go downstairs." That was about a year ago, neither of us have forgotten it, although we kinda joke about it now whenever it comes up in conversation.

Maybe your parents kicked it in the darkness on accident?
Maybe one of your foots hit it when you were leaving?

son can you read

I stopped reading at the end of the first paragraph.
Kinda tired, hard to read. :S

I remember when i was younger, I was sleeping on the couch, and at 5 in the morning i could hear something breathing in the kitchen D:

it was the coffee maker

the simplest explanation for things like this, hearing dishes rattle, sounds like something being put on the table, a fridge opening ect. is the house is "settling" its got to do with heat and expansion/contraction but basically it happens in every house and things sound like people are here, i often hear what sounds like someone putting things on the table but i know the cause of this, though even though people can know that there fear is impossible and irrelevant it doesnt mean it wont scare you.

A large wooden curtain golder thingy in my room creaks like a motherforgeter all the time because it happens to be over a heater and above a window. Wood creaks. Deal with it.

the thing i hate is when i am deep in thought and then i will hear a voice and I think I actually heard it. also happens when I'm almost asleep
