We basically spent $10 on a free game.

I paid 10 dollars for this, and now it's free. I feel ripped off.

Also, now ANYBODY can get it. No parental permission for purchase anymore. Inb4 stuffstorm of little kids.

And with those lack of limitations, there will be an insane wave of new players. Servers will lag and become overfilled, and all the newbies will make the experience unbearable.

Shut up, you know nothing about what you're saying.  Yep.  Thousands of players will cause random servers to lag because they're playing the game.  Makes total sense.  You're just whining about money.  You payed to play the game years before everyone who will play it free if this does end up being true.  Hackers can be banned y'know.  Besides, the game is already very populated, more people won't destroy it.

More inexperienced players will be obnoxious, especially if they're on your team. Having teammates that know what they're doing is much more fun, whether you win or lose. Since there's now going to be a lot more of them...

I agree with the fact that there will possibly be more obnoxious young'uns, but I suggest becoming part of a community. I'm part of the MAD community, for example, so nothing big is going to change for me because I'm always on their servers. Any obnoxious users will just be banned and forgotten forever.

It's not going to be a few. One part I liked about TF2 is that those who weren't lazy enough to give up when it didn't say free are most likely going to be more fun to play with. Now that anyone can play, that likeliness is a lot lower.
