Last time I checked they ran off to Call of Duty. I haven't seen alot of kids on valve games for a while now.

TF2 or anything by Valve is not cool enough for the general stupid population guys.  Kids see a new Call of Duty or Halo game coming out and they flood the stores (and their mics) 

I don't forsee any massive TF2 movement from the kiddies, TF2 isn't cool enough for them.

Last night I played TF2. There were lots and lots of people, so big groups were slightly easier. However, despite having 45 ping, I lagged anyway, and a bunch of people were idling/being stupid.

And the hat is ass-ugly, so not much use for it other then proving you're a paid player.

FFS STFU ALREADY. First off, this didn't happen, TF2 has been free for ONE DAY. There aren't 1,000,000 more players all of a sudden and nothing is going to loving change!

This is your Internet sucking richard. I have gone over this with you dozens upon dozens of times, your Internet connection sucks. I've never played a game with you more than ten seconds without you complaining about how badly you're lagging or you just plain lagging out.
You lag so horribly you pretty much break the ping counter. I'm not kidding.

I didn't lag on a server that was draining though, and my ping was the same. Maybe it was hardware lag instead.

If you have a stuffty framerate, it has nothing to do with new players "clogging up" the servers.

And if I have Steam for free then nine tenths of the features will be for "Premium Players"? :L
And if I have TF2 for free then nine tenths of the features will be for "Premium Players"? :L
And if none of the above is true, then if I get TF2 for free then I'll be dirt under the shoes of the godlike players who spend hours playing the game? :L
It's the same with every game that features some sort of leveling.
