Author Topic: World of Warcraft, Whats it like?  (Read 1274 times)

Hello, as we speak I am downloading WoW, and TBC, I am going to get WotLK when i "Need" it. I have never played this game and have only seen 3 or 4 youtube videos about the classes. I Think an undead rogue looks cool. Any tips about playing? I will not play tonight as I am too tired. But I would love to make some friends in the game.

I don't understand raiding or dungeons FYI or any of the acronyms used in the game :S

wow is the best mmo in the world, like rly ive played so many mmos and wow is the only one i still feel tempted to go back and play.

WoW sucks and gets boring after a time.

It looks good, but It appears my computer doesnt meet all the requirements, but my buddy (Who got me into this) Has played this game with NONE of the requirements and only .5gb of RAM. I wonder if I will actually like this MMO

How much you can enjoy WoW depends entirely on how much time you can devote to it.
There's probably a chart out there somewhere

theres a reason its player base is still growing. the game is loving amazing and i wish i had the time for it.

turn graphics settings down, i ran it on a craptop with 512 RAM just fine with all the settings at minimum.

I used to have that "drawn to" feeling for WoW, like "oh man I want to play this so bad".

I ended up getting incredibly bored with how dumb most people are in the game and how mundane the tasks are.

Then it looks like utter stuff though, running it on highest settings it felt like I was playing a really aged game, even with the whole new graphics and stuff.

I shall do that, I'm glad I can still run it :D

Well, being summer break and all I can probably find some extra time.

its graphics arent amazing but they arent that bad either, its gameplay more than makes up for its dated look.

Normally yeah, but I still got incredibly bored with the game.

its better if you play it with a friend and it gets waaaay better end game when you hit the level cap and get involved in a community.

i was on galakrond and was like the second highest-ranked warrior in arenas because i did nothing but play PvP and practice rounds whenever my partner was away. ive never spent as much time playing a game as i did for wow, and the community and the forum is a lot like the blockland community.

>go kill 30 of these to unlock quest to kill 30 of these to get better gear to level up to get quest to go kill 30 of these to unlock quest to kill 30 of these to get better gear to level up to get quest to go kill 30 of these to unlock quest to kill 30 of these to get better gear to level up to get quest to go kill 30 of these to hit level 85 so you can raid to get quests to kill 30 of these to get better gear to kill 30 more of these

it's basically that + guys playing girls dancing to get gold

EDIT: this is if you play by yourself. if you want some fun, get a group of friends, a vent server, and a guild

IMHO, The game could be 24-bit and i would not care, If gameplay is good graphics never matter, And though I have seen that theres a point where its all grinding, Which i don't mind either. I can't play a game alot, otherwise it gets boring, that goes for all games. (Xbox)

Double toast, and thats like most MMO's, expect the girl part.
This way it gives you something to strive for, instead of do quest, get infinite bitches and coolness

do the recruit a friend shizz, not only do u get a snappy rocket for u and ur friend to fly around in, but u can fly through the boring part of teh game (the first 60 levels) with +300% experience gain. also blizzard took huge steps to make the wrath of the lich king and cataclysm quests fun, cataclysm quests are actually all pretty sweet from waht ive heard.
