First question, if I have TF2 will Gmod run fine? Since TF2 is free now. If it matters I bought it before it was free.
Second question, can I download and install mods that are from other games like fallout weapons or something without actually owning fallout? Or will it show an error in game?

Hmm, good question. I would wait a little before getting Gmod now that it's free.

EDIT: Fallout weapons already comes with the models, but if it's a source game like Counter Strike Source it does matter.

If you're talking in terms of system specs, gmod will run fine if you run TF2 fine. If you're talking in terms of the one source game requirement, I don't foresee a problem.

Also, the only thing you need to worry about in terms of mod compatibility are mods that use files from other Source games. Fallout isn't on the Source engine and isn't made by Valve so unless the mod creator used any script (you'll get LUA errors in the console), texture (pink and black boxes), model (ERROR model), or sound (no sound will play) from a game that you don't own or have mounted, you'll be fine downloading whatever you want.

Some error due to an engine update by Valve.
Should be fixed soon, hopefully. Otherwise Garry will have to roll-back to an older version of the engine, until he finds the fix.

Well its 3AM where I am and my mom said she'll get up at 6AM to go to the store to get some card thing so I can use on steam. Should I buy Gmod or not? I'm thinking yes cause the error should be fixed eventually, but what are your guy's opinions?

Definitely yes, I have over 250 hours on it and it's still fun.

Definitely buy Gmod, yes. It's only $10 and worth every penny. Unfortunately, like Steve said, it's currently broken due to Valve loving up with their engine stuff, but it should be fixed soon.

I thought that free games didn't come with Source SDK and such, which is important to Gmod's operation isn't it?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I couldn't use the free Portal as my source game when I got Gmod.

If you put in Fallout props when you don't have Fallout I believe that isn't aloud.
