Seriously, get over yourself.  The game had a stuffstorm legal battle, the longest delay in video gaming history and was revived by a different developer.  It ended up not performing to the par that has been set by much more successful games, not just "generic shooters dur dur helo cawl of dooty".  There are plenty of game sequels in the world that have been highly expected to exceed everyone's expectations that had a very good ground-breaking prequel beforehand and yet still fell short a lot.  Case in point;  Black & White 2 in comparison to its first (and while I'm at it, any other Lionhead sequels too)

I haven't played any Duke games, but i heard the old ones you could take whatever path you wanted, and Forever is really loving linear.

um, Duke 3D was pretty linear. but so was every FPS in the 90s

I played the demo.  I honestly got bored of the demo.  I can only imagine how much more repeated giant alien battles and useless environment interactions I'm missing, not to mention the total of maybe half a minute of nipple footage that was only thrown in to get the attention of everyone in the industry.  It's like watching EALA throw women all over Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 again, which was painstakingly stupid.  Yes, I know Duke was satirical on the action hero of yesterday and was depicted getting fellatio from biloveual prostitute schoolgirls multiple times likely, it's hard to describe what I think it makes anyone look now but something along "ego-stuffing" would fit.

Honestly, the game wasn't that fun, and I'm glad I played the demo before buying it.  I threw the demo out of my hard drive after a record breaking 20 minutes after I installed it.

it came out for PC and xbox and had such a dedicated following that ppl found ways to mod their xboxes to play it online because there was no xbox live at the time. you obviously never even played halo when it was popular and i bet u havent played any games in the series because u dont like popular things. hipsters love dnf because they get some kind of nostalgia rush for a series there completely unfamiliar with and it doesent make any sense becaues you werent even around for dn3d.

30 dollars on ebay. By the way it won't hit bargin bin for awhile in retail shelves since it's selling very well.
