Author Topic: I Need a Graphics Card with Low Wattage  (Read 1266 times)

I have a bs power supply, so no cards over 50 watts.  My budget isn't determined, but don't get me the loving most expensive card there is.

So, any suggestions?

Edit: My current card is Radeon HD 4550 512 MB, and my PSU is ~200-250 watts.

get a better power supply
Unless you're going to buy me one, no.

Edit: My power supply has a weird shape.

What's the wattage of your current PSU?

If you have an AGP slot, you should get this one

It isnt very expensive at its price, i bought a video card like this a week ago, and it was a HUGE improvement from my ATI radeon 7000.

Yeah it's a huge improvement from a really old low-end card to an old low-end card.

I don't think any modern computers even have AGP anymore.

I think most modern day have at least 1 agp slot

Plus, this isnt the one i got a few days ago, i got an Nvidia 6200 with 512MB memory.

I have to say, i couldnt do ANYTHING with the radeon, the nvidia made it so much better.

No they don't

No they don't

Just looked at my friends alienware, it has an AGP slot in it, and he got it 2 weeks ago.

he got it 2 weeks ago.
Doesn't mean the model is new or updated.

Are you even remotely sure it's an AGP?

There's hardly any decent GPUs for AGP 4x/8x, and there is absolutely no way in hell a gaming-level computer manufacturer would ever use parts that have AGP slots.

AGP is completely obsolete. No hardware is being made for it. It's all PCI and PCI Express.

Bump, I need one too :c

Edit: one for 450 watt?
