It always confuses me because I identify people by their avatars (and ingame I identify them by username).
Changing your forum avatar or ingame name is like a "reputation wipe" to me; it forms a disconnect between old and new. This is not always a good thing. Thusly I am trying to script a chatmod that, behind a player's name, will display to me who I remember them as. Unfortunately I have made an error in either parsing the file or in inserting the additional name component.
