Yu-Gi-Oh - became a fad for a short amount of time but never actually had the chance to compete with pokemon.

Family Guy - who even knows by this point.

Simpsons - never was a fad to begin with. It was just an incredibly popular show because it truly was for all ages.

Lost - I don't even know but I'm assuming it's not as I haven't seen people talk about it.

Star Trek - actually it's more of a cult.

Transformers - Generation 1 was a huge fad. The other transformer generations became popular but never reached fad status.

Battlestar - it's more of a cult like star trek.

They may be popular and have fans that like the show, but for every single show, there's a group of obsessed fans. You only seem to be complaining about this one. Why not any of the others?
