1st Twilight Sparkle had a problem she wanted to fix and tell her past. She becomes Future Twilight.
Past (Present, as I called her in my other post) Twilight doesn't find out about that problem. She eventually acts out a similar story, comes to a different conclusion, tells tries to tell the Past Twilight her conclusion and fails again.

Now, all of these Twilight's continue to go forward in their own timelines, but this cycle is now based on the second twilight's conclusion. Something else happened to the first Twilight, probably nothing major, and now this.

I'm definitely seeing the paradox now

To put it simply: Twilight had to go back in time to get herself to go back in time etc. etc.

It's all about the problem. What "problem" did the first Twilight have?
Unfortunately, the next Twilight thought it was a disaster. She overreacted, and came to the conclusion that Future Twilight was trying to warn her about not worrying.

This could be true. The first Twilight might have had a story similar, an overreaction that taught her not to worry about the future, so she told her past self so she didn't have to go through the same stuff. On the otherhand, something terrible could have actually happened. Perhaps Past Twilight did something she didn't pay attention to that prevented the disaster?

We'll never know. :c

It was an awesome episode, timeline aside. Much better than last weeks.

The "first" visit from Twilight is the same as the "second". They were the same visit, in the same timeline. They were both exactly the same to warn about the same thing; that absolutely nothing was going to happen and to stop worrying about it. Twilight's big mouth got in the way so it sounded like it was a huge disaster.

yes, it is entirely possible everything was mirrored exactly the same way.
the only difference would be that the first Twilight didn't have a future Twilight tell her anything. because of this the story would be, in the very least, slightly different. but at the same time this slight difference had no real impact.
