Since I'm very slow at updating things and Blastdown is much more ambitious if someone will teach me how to anchor to another post I will send an anchor link to Blastdowns post on the first page and let him update from now on.
I'm only willing to do this if I can use an anchor link though because I don't want people clicking the link and it opening into a new tab for them.
I still don't fully understand this idea, if I did I probably could try to find the answer for you, however this is some bbcode I found.
SMF 1.1 also has several additional “hidden” tags:
[anchor=x]Text[/anchor] - creates a named anchor (equivalent to <a name="x">Text</a>)
[iurl=#x]Link[/iurl] - displays a link to the specified anchor (must be within the same topic)
[html]<b>Look ma, HTML!</b>[/html] - inserts HTML into the post (administrators only) |
(perhaps you are suppose to use the post number, like #msg5026288?)
There is also
this list of bbcode.
Edit: Myreka! I think I may have solved the idea. You'll have to try it yourself and see if it is what you're looking for.
I did this in one of my topics,
[iurl=http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=96276.msg1827426#msg1827426]post down there[/iurl] |
and clicking on the "post down there" took me down to the post.
here's a link to my first post of the topic - this seems to be the equivalent to simply posting a url=bleh, lol
here's a link to your post, in this topic up there^ - this tosses you up to the zookuw's post in this page.
assuming this is what you were after, I'm guessing your plan was to change your post to have a large text saying "CLICK HERE FOR OP" or something of the sort that would lead down to my post which would enable me to edit it as I please. sounds a bit messy, but if that was the plan, it could work.
