i certainly hear it a lot, but then some odd number will be against its use for whatever reason
the first time I heard opposition to it, the reason was "it divides us!" lol

personally, i don't care about it. though i do think saying brony != pegasister is dumb, considering it is essentially the same thing

this is true, just a matter of preference in terminology usage

I just hate it when people make a big deal about being "ponycigarettes" instead of Bronies.

What a ponycigarette ^^

I'd rather not be called a Brony

even though I've somewhat gotten used to it

I still don't like it it just feels weird :c

I see it as the difference between being a fan of Star Trek, and being a "Trekkie", for example.

I know it doesn't really matter but it still feels a little weird

I was relieved at first while watching Fullmetal Alchemist that the character Lyra seemed to only appear for one episode because the pronunciation of her name was different (and debatably incorrect, "lee-rah"), I was afraid it'd throw me off since that's how I used to say it when referring to the pony for so long before I learned the correct way to say it (I still slip up now and then, it's a tough habit to break), but now she's been back for several episodes and people are saying her name left and right and it's not helping, my internal monologue is making mistakes when referring to the pony again :v

first world insanity problems

I always pronounced it Lee-rah until hearing the correct pronunciation, Lie-rah sounds very odd to me still.

On the subject of FMA, great series. I found the Brotherhood version to be better. I originally thought it was going to be a sequel, I was incredibly confused when I first started to watch it. The biggest similarity between the two is the beginning, they are practically the same until a certain point then it cuts off into their different stories.

What sucks is the movie for FMA is a sequel, but the movie for Brotherhood isn't. :c

Now for related fan-art.
