the reason is simply because a "brony documentary" is stupid and pointless and no one in their right mind would want to make one if they had the skills and money

documentaries are for wild animals, science, and history, and contrary to popular belief "bronies" do not fit into the first category (nor any of the others, obviously)

I have an idea, Let's make a Blockland documentary! It's obviously important enough. Let's take this idea to Kickstarter and see how much money people throw at us!

In all seriousness, what's next, a Whovian documentary? Hell, Doctor Who is more historical and scientific than bronies. Off the top of my head, I can think of three fan-made documentaries:

with the ending we got, i'd imagine it's very possible we'll be seeing Discord every once in a while
finale is the best bet for this season i would think, not sure about this next episode
