A company usually thinks on it's own. Working on there own way instead of listening to fans/consumers for ideas.
The only option we have is to watch the fandom and show crash and burn.

I don't know, if they bomb the series I would think they'd see a noticable dip in profits, and subsequently move to correct it.

there are several huge forums and communities around the internet. go join them and try to do what was attempted a year ago which was for something a little less important
