hm, i actually think that tidbit was already known but perhaps i'm wrong.
anyway, there were extended interviews in the bronydoc thing and they used a clip where she was saying that she wanted Rarity to have her shop get to Canterlot, Rainbow Dash becoming a Wonderbolt, the Crusaders getting their cutie marks, and such. that she was dropping little seeds to get them there.
if the series had a definite end and Faust was the captain, some of them probably have actually moved away i think
I wonder how the fandom would have reacted to this, if Faust hadn't left, and it happened.
they've speculated that Faust would have done it differently and better. Twilight probably wouldn't have become an alicorn, but still became a princess though at an appropriate time.
but we'll never know.
personally speaking, both changes could have been acceptable if they had done it right
