Pinkie isn't supposed to bend physics when she's sad!

I was just about to say, how the heck is it not breaking already?

Someone needs to explain what sort of construction materials are used in Equestria.
Actually, someone needs to explain cartoon physics, but that's a bit big.

The more I look through the drawfriends, front pages, and big threads on /mlp/ and /art/ on ponychan the less I understand the average persons perception of art and beauty. I'm getting to the point where I don't care if I come off as a jerk. There are some crappy pieces that get in there and get noticed. Someone explain how this deserves to be on drawfriend. At this point I don't know if I want to even do art anymore if something like that can make it yet something that doesn't look like a yellow loving potato gets rejected.

I'd like to think the material of the drain is a thick aluminum, enough to hold pinkie for at least that amount of time before the agitation and bending of the material caused a breakage.

Someone explain how this deserves to be on drawfriend.
The background is nice.

the face ruins the picture.

though i must say that the artist definitely has potential. just needs to work on the face.

Heres something i did awhile back, though i cant find the picture i was looking at

And heres one i did a few days ago:

it may look worse, but i like it more because i didnt use any other pictures to make it

It's supposed to be a pony piece. The pony in this piece is beyond fugly. Shouldn't have been accepted. Probably should have been laughed at. Tell the artist to go make landscapes.

Or maybe y'know, people like the content or the story behind the pictures, or not everyone wants to suck on one specific artist's richard.
I draw fluffies myself but I don't cry when I see crappier fluffy pony art getting all the attention.

it's ok if you don't cry at your own art

Do you always blame other people for the poor quality of your art?

It's mediocre. No interesting lighting, no interesting colouring, it is obvious you don't spend a great deal of time on them, no interesting poses, ugly lines, zero shading and showing few signs of improvement. You're not even humble, you don't seem to see anything wrong with your own work.

Why don't you ignore what other people are doing and try improving your work?

Somebody had to say it. Insulting art that in my opinion is better than yours in every way except anatomy is just crossing the line.

Every-bodies art sucks in its own special way. Now get over it and make art that people notice.

Future serial killer.
I mean honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this dude one day kidnaps a woman and stuffs her into a giant Twilight quadsuit.
