So, can anyone tell me why people don't like CitiesXL 2011?

This game has been pretty much abandoned, even the new developer doesn't care much for it. Many features are lacking or even missing which Simcity 4 has, such as a lot of transport varieties or even functionality.
I'd also recommend you Tropico 3 if you're into city builders. In Tropico you manage a tiny island nation. You have a lot of freedom how to rule your country there. Order anyone killed/arrested if you want to, etc.

Don't. Cities XL is ass. ANY SimCity is better than it. Even the older ones. The worst mistake in my life was spending 50€ for that piece of crap Cities XL 2011.
