Come to think of it, I have never been on a plane or anything that flies in my entire 14 year old life.

Congrats on joining flight school!

Oh.

I was hoping for a more exciting tale, like that your mother was in labor as the plane was crashing in the middle of the Atlantic, and you had been pushed out on the rubber safety raft moments after she narrowly jumped from the burning wreckage onto it, the fall propelling you out at a high velocity speed and hitting another survivor in the face, whose dead body was used for nourishment until help arrived 4 days later.

But your story was nice to. First time flying and you were so young, exciting. My first trip on a plane was when I was young, too, only I went from Europe to the US. c:

You should make movies with those quality stories you tell.

watch out for birds

When you do fly without an instructor, make sure you have a tennis ball on a string. Attach it to the roof of the rooster pit. If you start to fly sideways or upside down, that will tell you.

I think I'd be able to tell if I'm flying upside down, lol

Good luck to you. There's a written test first, then at the end of your course, you have to fly cross-country on your own.

Not with the pressure that is inside of the roosterpit. That pressure makes it seem as though you are flying right side up. But if you are high above the ocean, you can easialy lose your sense of up the ground and the sky.

I believe that's for a commercial pilots license which I can't get for approximately 2 years, for two reasons;

1. The amount of hours required is somewhere near 1000

2. You need to be 18.

Have fun, being a pilot is cool.

Sounds pretty cool. I used to want to fly planes, but now I don't. My uncle has his license and repairs parts to commercial airlines. Hope you get your license. Good luck.
