Author Topic: YouTube broken - help?  (Read 1016 times)

Okay, so whenever I try to open YouTube the video is just a big black box. there's no red bar at the bottom, either - and I can't heard audio. I have Flash player and I even tried re-installing it but that didn't work. I looked in the official YouTube help but my problem wasn't there because it was talking about being able to hear audio, whilst I couldn't. Strangely, this only happens on youtube.com -  embedded YT videos, videos that aren't YT videos (metacafe, ect.) and other Flash programs work just fine :P.

Anybody able to help?

I'm on Google Chrome v13 beta-m on WinXP, with Flash version v10.3.

EDIT: 22 reads, and 0 replies. Come on people, I really need help :C And don't make me kill my F5 button via pressing it so much.

Is your adobe flash player up to date?

Come on I REALLLLY need help here!

This is a glitch that I have as well. Click forward about 1-2 seconds into the video.

Try going to the wrench icon > Options > Under the Hood > Clear browsing data
Change "Obliterate the following items from" to "the beginning of time"
Uncheck everything except for "Empty the cache", restart Chrome and try again.

Some of these instructions might be different because I use Chromium 14.

It's delete instead of obliterate.

Thanks a ton, IT WORKED! :D

Try a different browser?

It's delete instead of obliterate.

Weird, on Chromium, it's obliterate.

I know.
I think they changed it in 13 or 14.

It's obliterate on Chrome too. DontCare4Free must be thinking of Firefox or something, or have an outdated Google Chrome.

Difference between 12 and 13.
