Author Topic: Team Fortress 2 and Half life 2 freezing after video card update.  (Read 472 times)

So up until I got gta 4 my computer worked fine, sometimes I had lag, sometimes not, normal stuff.
But then I got Gta 4 and had to update my video card driver. I have a nivida geforce 7900, and directX 9.

It doesn't freeze on games like terraria, minecraft, maplestory, ect. But it freezes on Half life 2 and team fortress 2. So it's probably a video card thing.
Specs are:
System:
Microsoft windows Xp
Media center edition
Version 2002
Service pack 3

Computer:
Intel (R)
Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz
2.99Ghz, 2.00 GB of ram
Physical address Extension

As I said before the video card is a nividia Geforce 7900 GS with directX 9.

Bump Because this is a huge issue for me.

You would get much better results by posting on the Steam Forums.

If it's only happening with Source games, then it seems to be that there's a compatibility issue.
It would just be much simpler to roll back your drivers if they worked best for you, unless it gave you some kind of extremely important frame-rate boost or something else.

Just tried that, now all the games give me blue screens.
