Author Topic: Internet Server Single Player Campaign  (Read 1029 times)

Summary
This would be a simple way to let 16 people all play the same game, without the other person's interaction.

Brainstorming Ideas
You could, on client loading, create a full client-side copy of the bricks, which could not interact with the other client-side bricks

It may be possible to make all reactions, effects, fakekilling bricks, projectiles, player-objects, ect client side, and not the bricks

Uses
Portal maps
ZAPT singleplayer using online maps
FPS campaign mode using dedicated servers
ect

All Bricks are Server.
Client-side Bricks are not possible.
Good thought, but the closest thing you can get is to mute all players and make however many copies of the build you need evented with VCE so only one person can join a campaign.

It would be possible for a script to make many copies of a build and place them a considerable distance away as to not be visible from other copies, and automatically spawn them in the correct one. But why? Why would you want to join another server just to have zero interaction with other players? Why not just use single player?
