Author Topic: Invalid Format - TV monitor error.  (Read 1355 times)

Basically, when ever I try to start my old games ( I'll use Stubbs the Zombie as an example), my screen goes blank, and displays an 'Invalid Format' message. I use a TCL 11'' TV screen as my monitor. Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this?

are you sure it's not only that game

I get this when i try to play games in a huge resolution.

No, I also get it in Blockland, and numerous other games.

Make sure your games aren't trying to run in a higher resolution than what your monitor can display as.

In other words, don't try to play games in 1080p if your monitor can go to 1024x768 at the most without looking squished/small.  You need to be at the resolution that has a 1 to 1 ratio with pixels on your monitor to pixels being rendered.

Thank you for that. However, I cant run my older games, because they immediatly go to this error. Would it be possible to change the games resolution without starting it? Cheers!

For individual games it is different.  You have to search up something like "(game name) change resolution".  Most games will either have a config text file somewhere or have the resolution set in the registry.  It differs from game to game.

11" monitor? o.0 upgrade pls
