This is 2011, no one uses gameboys anymore except me.

Bisjac is in his twenties, he's just using old-man lingo.

Tom

I say you bring a Playboy and fap.

Oh no! An entire 3600 seconds of sitting. Careful, I've heard that was deadly.
Well excuse me officer for not wanting to be forced to listen to some stuff that goes against my personal beliefs and wishes.

Oh no! It's like the internet. Except you have to use the energy to read it!

Oh, and by the way, you're not forced to listen to it. If you hear the words, you are choosing to be annoyed by it.

Open ears can help you learn. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean you shouldn't learn about it. That is where much ignorance can stem from.

Regardless, go for your grandmum. It will make her happy and, at the very least, show that you Love her. That's more important than anything in this matter. :o

I don't want open ears because I don't care to learn about it.

I say you go for your grandma and only that.

I am a Christian, and if someone were to invite me to some Atheist seminar I would go, but not just for them. I would go to discover what others have to say, because it is a good thing to see all perspectives this world has to offer. In fact, an atheist speaker may even shed some light about some worldly things for me.
It is a horrible thing to pull yourself into a protective shell and not listen to others or explore the truth.

I told my mom I didn't believe in god, and she got mad.

The problem with the large portion of the "Christian" society these days, is the amount of stress and force people put into faith. Faith is the most important thing in life, yes. But you should also go out daily and live your own life, not just read the Bible all day long - which is where some parents turn off their children from faith.

Well, at least you stated that. If anyone tries to force religion into you when you are unwilling to listen to it, just tell them that forcing the teaching into your closed mind is like trying to put out a fire with napalm.

It's not only reading, there also has to be applications of those teachings into everyday life.

It doesn't really work that way. Its hard to go from atheist back to religion. Usually atheism is the result of hearing religious perspectives and then deciding you disagree. Hearing them again doesn't mean much....

Hey this topic involves religion and has somewhat intellectual and civil conversation. How nice.

Open Doors. Open Minds. Open Hearts.

Being a Methodist is for the win.

Christianity was, is, and always will be the number one cause of atheism in the world. It's truly sad that we do this to people.  And yes atheists do teach interesting life lessons.

Can't tell if sarcastic because this really isn't a religion war.

wear a t-shirt with an upside down cross to church and film the reactions. that or go normally and pull a cheese burger out of your pocket and eat it instead of the sacrament.
