But anyway as you can tell, LT's gigantic servers are down, along with pretty much everything I can see from my house, which I dare not leave now. This is like 28 Days Later, with (hopefully) less zombies. I just wake up and the surrounding world is in pieces. Bits of tree and stuff laying around everywhere.
Evidentally I'm a heavier sleeper than I thought, because this was clearly one hell of a storm.

There was actually already a blackout earlier yesterday in the morning that had already knocked out most of what I can see, possibly a fairly large chunk of Cook County as a whole was down.

Discuss storms, blackouts, and all of this annoying stuff. :Y

I'm also loving glad as hell that my internet has a built-in battery so I can at least confirm how forgeted I am.
Dunno how long my laptop battery will be able to last though, hopefully power will be restored soon...

Son of a bitch, I live within 30 minutes of you... Here in Naperville it was a total stuffstorm as well, we lost power as well as most people lost water. We didn't because we're on a private well system, but my neighbors all did. :o

Son of a bitch, I live within 30 minutes of you... Here in Naperville it was a total stuffstorm as well, we lost power as well as most people lost water. We didn't because we're on a private well system, but my neighbors all did. :o

stuff, I never even bothered checking my water. For now it seems to be working, but Brookfield isn't exactly high-class so we'll probably lose it or have.
