Author Topic: Steam Locomotive/Saddle Tank Engine  (Read 6588 times)

Yeah a steam locomotive... Or what this topics mostly about is the Saddle Tank Engine.
Like I know that there is already a Box train but what bout the steam locos????
What I'm thinking of is a small Saddle Tank engine.
All I'm looking for is a loco like the one in the pic below.
To be a Saddle tank loco it must have the following....
1: An arrangement of 0-6-0/0-4-0 drive wheels
2: Must be just about the same size as the Box train
3: Coal is stored at the Back of the locomotive
4: Must have a "saddle" looking covering over the boiler
Pic below.
Small 0-6-0 Saddle Tank Engine (The 0-4-0 looks exactly like it besides for the wheel arrangement...)

Model Train : another Dockside Switcher

Cool. This could be useful.

I heard "saddle tank" and thought of Rails of War.

Whoa Armoured Saddle Tank Engine?

It will be epic when someone figures out how to keep a train on a track with a mod, which I have done with zone events; but until then, the box train should be remodeled into common, famous engines.  Some engines may include the listed below and also Santa-fe, snow-blowers, Thomas :), and maybe some of the railways like union pacific and New York.

But yes, we need more trains

Can you explain to me how you did it?

On topic: I approve of this idea, but it will be difficult to use until working railroad tracks are implemented.

Difficult only if the track has turns in it.
Other then that The only train we currently have "The Box Train"
Works fine unless the track has turns in it.

I haven't experimented with turns yet but I have made a way to make automatically driven trains.  But I have an idea for curves and I'll try it out when I get back to my computer.

I support this. I am a HUUGE railfan myself.

I was just playing Railworks aswell :o.
