This is actually my average reaction. Ammo is extremely scarce and you can't buy it off merchants. If you ever run out of ammo too fast you are forgeted. Do you know how hard it is trying to kill a zombie with a knife (over 30 hits) try that with over 10 zombies in one room.
If you don't find ammo soon you may have to restart your game all over again.

You will never run out of ammo, you can buy it from merchants, it's placed everywhere and you can carry thousands of ammo clips at a time.
not really because they contained it in raccon city, then it was nuked, but wesker got away and there were still umbrella corporations all over and they released the virus, and president's daughter was kidnapped. you really need to learn the storyline, tony.
The T-virus was contained in Raccoon city and somehow it escaped to other cities. This still doesn't explain the whole parasite stuff and why they wanted to kidnap the president's daughter in the first place.
The parasite zombies are basically a spin off.
