IdSoftware is my childhood hero and I know they'd never voluntarily use GFWL.
You don't necessarily know that.
However publishers can easily forget up a developer company. EA made Westwood rush out Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 when it was full of bugs, both.
Same to Lionhead in creating Black & White 1.
i meant it was useful because i could still communicate with my xbox LIVE friends from my windows if i dont have my console.
i take it the game was an utter disappointment?
No base building.
No tiberium gathering.
Nod and GDI work together for the most part of the campaign.
Scrin aren't playable anymore.
I haven't even played the game and I don't intend on doing so.
Both so happen to be in the same company so negotiations are now void.

I think one of the reason Valve is the best game studio is because they publish stuff themselves.
They are the best because of the large userbase, well received games and the highly successful Steam platform along with frequent sales. They still want your money, they're just nice about it.
